Black Jaguar Chocolate
Indigenous people are actively involved in protecting the natural resources of the reserve, and cocoa sales help improve their income.
Ripe pods are hand-harvested from carefully selected and cultivated trees, then the cocoa is purchased directly from small producers. The beans are naturally fermented, then air-dried in the sun by local fine cocoa experts, before they reach our hands.
They then perpetuate traditional methods: gentle roasting, winnowing, and stone grinding, to preserve the complex fruity and floral aromas.
