CHOCOLATE - The bitter taste of cocoa cultivation - Samy Manga

Witnessing the harsh work and the pesticides that made farmers and his grandfather sick, he became aware at a very young age of the human and environmental damage caused by the monoculture of the bean, for the sole benefit of chocolate multinationals. In a historical and social portrait of this food so popular with children and adults, Samy Manga recounts the profound injustice contained in our chocolate bars. An emblem of neocolonialism, the exploitation of this green gold rhymes with deforestation, land annexation, and child labor, to the detriment of biodiversity and the health of local populations.
