Soma - Dark Chocolate 70%, Ramage, Vanuatu

Made with cacao from the village of Pinalum, located in the north of Malekula Island, Vanuatu. This village is nestled in the heart of an ancient Amelonado cacao forest, planted in the 19th century. The fresh cacao is harvested from small farms around Pinalum, then transported to a central fermentation and drying facility.
The passionate team at Pinalum came up with the name Ramage (pronounced "Rah-mah-gee"), which means "we revived something everyone else had abandoned, and we made it into something exceptional." A huge thank you to Olivier, Lily, Roy, and the entire team for the care they put into this very special cacao.

"The story begins in 2003 when the idea of creating a small, funky chocolate shop was born in the minds of David Castellan and Cynthia Leung. When making our first batches of chocolate, it was instantly clear that we had stumbled upon something magical, and that our future would be tied to it. With cocoa beans, nature created the perfect "Soma," a mystical substance mentioned in the Rig Veda and later by Aldous Huxley in the novel Brave New World."
